What is the Adrenal Stress Profile?
The Adrenal Stress Profile consists of an easy to use home salivary test and an Interpretation of the results with a written report and a Skype call to discuss the results and make recommendations. The profile can detect imbalances in the daily circadian secretions of the stress hormones cortisol and DHEA.
Cortisol and DHEA are the two steroid hormones that assist the body to manage stress. These hormones also have an influence on metabolism, thyroid function and female and male sex hormones. Imbalances in these hormones can result in a wide range of symptoms including energy levels, emotions, and many other health complaints. These can include anxiety, chronic inflammatory conditions, allergies, chronic fatigue syndrome, insomnia, depression, migraines, headaches, recurrent infections, menstrual difficulties and infertility.
How do you take the test?
You will be collecting samples of your saliva four times during the day, starting an hour after you wake and finishing last thing at night. Each time you take a sample, you will need to put it into the freezer and once completed, send the samples back to the Laboratory for analysis. The kit includes full instructions and all the equipment you need.
The Lab then sends the results to me and we discuss the results and recommendations over Skype or by phone. I also ensure that you receive a copy of the results.
